Opal Energy Enclosure

All Lithium batteries life are affected by a few factors; temperature, humidity, depth of discharge and how charge and discharge rate. Having battery exposure to very high or very low temperature will shorten the life, so it’s important that batteries are not out in open areas where there is no shade. High humidity is equally bad for Lithium batteries so placing the batteries in ventilated area lower humidity thus prolong the battery life.

OPAL ENCLOSURE is an optional item that provide additional physical protection to the OPAL Energy storage batteries as well as reduce external heat to reach batteries. This enclosure comes with pre-assembled wiring and isolator safety switch. Heat reduces battery life span so we strongly recommend that batteries housed in enclosure should be place away from direct sunshine. Enclosures made from quality steel with powder coating suitable for outdoor use and rated at IP54. IP65 is not recommended as it almost totally seal the battery does not allow the battery to breath.
